I made this for my grandson who is due early December. I typically do a wool needlepoint stocking with the child's name on it but won't have time for that this year. So - this will work for the baby's first Christmas.

After 5 years...

I pieced this quite a while ago when I was first learning to quilt...it's pretty rough but I loved the fabric and decided to finish it...we'll use it for a "throw on the floor quilt" for grand babies. It's also dachshund approved :-)

Binding Tool Star Quilt

I needed to make a wedding gift for a “purple” bedroom. I wasn’t given the shade or tone of the purple. I found this Pattern on Missouri Star Quilts website, and knew it was the perfect Pattern. I changed the colors, and purchased the Pattern and fabrics from Missouri Star. I’m fairly new to quilting, so I’m pretty happy with how this gift quilt came together!

Flower Glass

My neighbors were on their deck on Fathers Day watching the sunset. Their deck collapsed sending seven family members to the hospital. Our small community did an auction to raise funds to help pay medical bills for the family. I invited some friends over and we made the Flower Glass quilt for the auction. We didn’t have enough matching fabric for the back so I used the left over blocks and made the quilt reversible.

Another Set of Twin Quilts ~ Girl

What a blessing to have two sets of twins born within a month. This set is also a girl & a boy. They will be born the first week of August. The fabric line is My ABC Book by by Darlene Zimmerman for Robert Kaufman. I was able to distinguish boy from girl by accenting the center of the star with the same border and binding fabrics for each. I again used my quick go to free pattern, Mode Love Star.I back the quilt with pre-washed Kaufman flannel. I made two matching burp cloths. I also made a diaper changing pad with the leftover charms. I added a double layer of batting in the pad. The quilting is a matching green thread in hearts, butterflies, and flowers.

Airplane Charms on Point quilt

Update: I quilted on my friends longarm and bound this quilt. I made this airplane MSQC Charms on Point quilt for my husbands soon to be born great nephew. I used Mighty Machines charms and added some 5 inch squares from coordinating fabric. I added more borders and used charms as the final border. I appliqued four airplanes on this quilt (Accuquilt dies and embroidery). 60" square
