These fours preemie quilts were my first donation to a NICU of a German hospital. It's a great way to use up leftover fabric. And to do something good.

Not long after I finished Mackenzie's quilt, Bailey came along and there was some tension between them. I had another of the alien panels but decided I needed to make Bailey's quilt completely different, more baby than boy, for Mackenzie's sake. I got some panels from ebay and went to town. I think it came out just as well, but different.

I loved the alien panel which I wanted to use on the back as a kind of "secret" so I wanted to make the front just as appealing as possible. I used a mix of several moda charm packs, can't remember which now and offset them with some bright spotty colours. I sewed on some Disney patches on the front & Mackenzie loves his quilt - even if he thinks the aliens are robots!
