We bought a new artificial Christmas tree, so I thought I'd make a new skirt. Used Holly's Tree Farm charm pack and Holly's Tree Farm - Stardust Multi Yardage for the back. I didn't want to quilt the top because it felt too busy already so I tied it with red with white dots ribbons and stitched them down. Then I sewed a decorative stitch where the squares met the border. I used store bought bias tape to finish. Christmas Quilt

I wanted to make a quilt I could bring out every Holiday season and lay over the couch by the tree. I found a beautiful fat quarter in a quilt shop when I visited Panama City Beach this summer. It's called Holiday Flourish by Robert Kaufman. I was inspired by a pattern called Brimfield by Moda for Layer Cakes, but I used all my own measurements to change the size of the squares.
