I fell in love with this cute material so I copied and enlarged the doggie in it and created an appliqué for the center of a star and made nine patch stars for the rest of the quilt. it is in the hoop now but needs to be finished by next weekend for a baby shower gift.

If You Go Out in The Woods Today

This is my second attempt at appliqué. This flannel quilt is made from left overs from another project. I saw similar bears and trees and moose in magazine and tried my best to draw them as I am not an artist they are just similar to the original animals. I thought since they needed light to prowl in the darkness I had better frame them with stars so designed star blocks to frame them. This lap quilt will be for snuggling up in when we are camping in our fifth wheel.

The Butterfly Affect

I was given a big box of Batiks. So we cut out butterflies applied fusible web and made a very tradition pattern, (I'm not sure you have seen it ot make it" but it was solid blocks with sashing and borders. But it came out awesome. Blossom Tots for a Little ToT named Mckenna

She was just 5 when we met the family and have spent many years with our friends. When we met Mckenna kept telling us she was a fairy, so my wife and I got going. Grandma's House

A friend of ours lives in Spokane. She emailed me and told us they were having problems with their daughters baby and breaking in their home, and it just coming. The finale was her little granddaughter got beat up on the bus, really beat up. So my wife and I decided to make a treat for her. We used Jenny's from the tutorial on youtube. She loves pink and so it was. I put a few embroidery designs on it too. We told her when you get scared or having some troubles and we told her to go to "Grandma House" (quilt)

Southwest Memories

I saw this quilt in Southwest Decoratives' catalog back in the 90's and fell in love. When I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, I found the store and drooled over the quilt. It wasn't until I moved back to Virginia, and was visiting in 2006 that I bought the quilt kit and pattern. It took me another few years to have the confidence to make it. I jumped in and did. I love it!! It's one of my favorite quilts. It hangs in my living room so I get to see it every day.
