I'd teased my youngest son that it was going to be his wedding quilt (he doesn't have a job, or a gf yet). Then once it was laid out, Howard fell in love with it. That was the end of somebody's wedding present.

Stop quilting and go fly a kite

I was at a quilt retreat and had brought many fabrics and ideas and decided on the tipsy tumble quilt. I got out my template and started cutting and about 3/4 of the way through I thought this doesn't look right. Welll...I had used the wacky web template instead. After muttering under my breath a "nasty" word, I remembered that Jenny said that any template would work. So I finished the top and added little kite tails and love it. Quilted with a stipple stitch and variegated thread, the back is spools of thread fabric and the binding was measure twice fabric.

An American Classic

I made this quilt for my nephew who had just earned his Eagle Scout badge. I wanted something that said "Stupendous boy Scout!" but not too military in theme. This one seemed just perfect. I added a touch of red (for Eagle Scout) in a strip down the back.

Nanny's Quilt

Made this quilt for my grandmother. She wanted something simple and in a neutral tones.
