My boss wanted me to use a Pendleton washable wool robe of her husbands to make a quilt. I regret not taking a photo of the robe before I unassembled it. It took some creative work to get what I needed to make this simple square quilt. (Remove collar, pockets, take sleeves apart, etc..) I used a flannel herringbone in blue as a background fabric and also used the same for the backing. It finished at 52 x 58. It is quite heavy with all the flannel and wool.

This truly doesn't take that much time and will be a lovely gift. It finishes at 59 x 59. It uses two charm packs (or whatever fabric you have on hand). https://www.fatquartershop.com/charming-christmas-quilt-free-pattern

This is a free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop. https://www.fatquartershop.com/charming-christmas-quilt-free-pattern Mine is 50 x 50 inches. I didn't have enough cream fabric for the outer border. It went together easily and quickly.

Sometimes you have fabric--in this case Christmas fabric. After looking on-line for ideas, I decided on this Super Simple Squares from MSQC. There are things I like about this quilt and things I'm not so crazy about. But it is done and I have a good idea where it is going.
