The quilt was designed for a Linus project donation. Each circle is cut from a novelty print and shows an animal, food, toy, or other object that a child might recognize. The circles are machine appliqued to the background with a buttonhole stitch. The backgrounds are a variety of black and white prints.

Five & Dime

Was making this as baby gift originally and added lace between the borders to make the blues look a little more girly, but these are my colors and I loved it so much I decided to make a different quilt for the gift and keep this to put on the back of my loveseat. Fabric for blocks was the Lexington line by Minick & Simpson.

Rail fence baby quilt

Made this for my second grandson when he was born five years ago. My first ever finished quilt was for his brother that is two years older. I don't have a pic of that one on my computer and need to scan it. These two quilts began my love for piecing quilt tops! The fabric was from a yard sale, except the farm print which I found in our local drug store that also carries a few bolts of fabric.

Friedrich Quilt #1

I started sewing back when I was 14 and joined the local 4H club, where sewing was a predominant part of the club. I used an old temperamental Singer that would nearly bounce off the table. I didnt like it. My mom then proceeded to cut up all our old sweaters and jeans for fabric and started making baby quilts. Years later I got a sewing machine from my mother in law for Christmas. And I have been a sewing monster. I needed some hobby to do to help wind myself down after a long trying day with the kids and I started making quilt tops for my kids. I also got in touch with the local quilting ladies and will be joining their branch of Victoria's Quilts. I bought all the fabric for his quilt on Amazon and went with a jungle theme.

X's & O's for Gracie

Gracie is our youngest great granddaughter and I just finished this X's & O's quilt for her using the Lavishmint Layer Cake. The extra yardage is Arrows in lavender and Scrolling Along in the green from the same line. The white is Chenille from my stash. Love using layer cakes. The binding was made using some of the remaining squares from the layer cake. Thought I was caught up but just received word we will be great grandparents yet again. That will be blessing number ten for us.
