I used one block from Amanda Rolfe's sampler quilt. I liked the star and hadn't ever made one before. I chose to use red and white from my fat quarter stash. The reds range from a pinkish red to a deep burgundy red.

Verona

My niece Kristen taught English in Verona, Italy for a year. So my sister's and I plus a few more girlfriends went to visit. What a life event....I fell in love with Italy! Hazel for the Hazels

For my birthday, I received some money from my mother and I decided to make a quilt for me and have it professionally quilted, which I've never done before, for me. I used the pattern: Mosaic from Fat Quarter Style. I used the fabric Hazel, by Windham Fabrics because my mom and my grandmother are both Hazels and it is a colorful and fun print. For the backing, I used some yardage I had, including some I'd picked up at an Amish thrift store in my home town(they have great deals on yardage)

OHIO STATE Birthday Quilt

Christmas Double Slice Quilt

I bought the layer cake of Christmas fabric on sale and then went through Jenny Doan's tutorials to find one I liked for this fabric and I found the Double Slice Layer Cake to use. I did all of the quilting myself on my Janome with one of the "quilt stitches" and I think it came out even better than I expected. I have only been quilting for a year and I am "addicted".

Halloween Four Patch Frenzy
