    I made this quilt for my daughter from a layer cake of "Lovely" from Sandy Gervais. It was made with birds and trees applique along the border. The blocks are from a Thimbleblossoms pattern called "Dilly Dally". I made this quilt several years ago but it turned out that it matched the colors in our new bird perfectly!

    I wanted a quilt with a Southwest feel, that was long enough to cover me head to toe since I'm almost 6 ft tall. I saw this pattern done a number of ways and love these 2 colors together. The backing is a Robert Kaufman extra wide fabric. It's vintage look is perfect for this block. It just needs the binding to finish it off!

    My daughter is leaving home for the first time to head out to college...and so she needed a quilt ofcouse! She chose the colors from a line called "Chloe's Closet" and they are reproduction 30's fabrics. I personally think the colors are remeniscent of the 70's, but the fact that they are not polyester makes it OK for me! Actually, I think that the quilt turned out cute when all together with the hexagons and the daisy quilting!

    I made this quilt for an older relative who loves birds and nature. I found this fabric last year and thought it would be perfect to simply use as square and border with friendship star. I still need to quilt it, but it should be fairly quick as it is a large lap quilt.

    I recently completed seminary -- a very strong call sent me in that direction. However, I have an elderly father and when I was called, so was my sister. Caring for him fell to her shoulders: something I will be forever for. So every time I get the chance, I thank her. For this birthday, I made this quilt. The fabric came from quilt shops around Austin TX where I attended seminary. I love my sister.
