    As always Christmas 2017 was crazy, and I was sewing even after Christmas. I wasn't able to take some pictures because I was sewing up to the date that I needed my gifts. My one friend loved her Mug Rugs enough that she asked me to make her some that she could give away. Great Lady, Shirley, (she has a special place in my heart with my Mom's name and she is exceptionally nice. ) I said "sure". She only wanted 4 but I made her 10. I had some left over mug rug from a kit and just doubled them. It was fun, fast, used up some scraps, and a great way to get back to my creative side. I am back. . . .     I made this quilt for my sister for Christmas 2017. The pattern is called Tennessee Waltz and she is 110” square. There are a total of 81 blocks that are 9” finished and 6 borders, including a pieced border. The best part is that she is made entirely from scraps! I didn’t buy a single cut of fabric to make this quilt (except for the backing). I had a ton of scraps in my stash and lots of partial precuts that I had no idea what to do with. Then, lightbulb! This beauty was born.

    This is the second commissioned quilt made for the same customer. She is giving them to her grand daughters eho are figure skaters being rrained by olympic coaches. It took a while to get my hands on the perfect ice skating fabric and theres no more of it as ot was discontinued. The quilt is approx 56x56, stitched in the ditch for quilting woth a purple sparkle binding made from the same fabris that was incorporated into the quilt. The ice skate fabroc sparkles as well. It was really fun to do this pattern.
