I made this for my great nephew, he's one and a half. It's 43 x 50. I free motion quilted with rulers and simple geometric designs and stars around the outer border. Love the cute little space aliens fabric, and went with planets in space on the back. This started out as a 3 yard quilt, but I changed the pattern to put the focus on the directional space aliens.

Christmas Bear quilt and Bear

I just finished the binding on my quilt after getting back from MSQC for the special holly berry longarm stitching. They do just beautiful work. This quilt is a combination of 2 different panels. One was a vest of the Christmas greeting, trees, & gingerbread men. The other is the how to pictures of how to make the Bear. The rest of the quilt is pieces from my stash. I did not make the Bear it was made by another gal in my quilting group. I purchased just one at our annual sale a few years ago. The back is pieces also of groupings of bears, snowflakes on red and Christmas plaid.

Festive Christmas Quilt

I had so many of these 4 inch squares of white and pattern of a happy deer in my stash. I made 4 place mats and the a table runner and finally thought these need to be gone. So cut some red and green ones and toss them up on my design wall. My granddaughter calls it most festive so hence the name. It measures 54 by 71 so nice for the couch or large lap quilt. The back from stash also is a print of red/green/white squares. I stitched in the ditch which I found really hard to stay in ditch. I used some candy cane material for binding. Made some matching pillows as well. As our church with no bazaar this year has tables out to members I have added this to the table. Funds will help member of our church who are currently struggling due to covid-19. We have done well so many will get help with food or what ever else they may need for the holiday.

5 Yard Quilt

This was a kit from Connecting Threads. I made it for a friend who has moved out of state, the colors were chosen specifically for her new place. It's a good sized throw, 50 x 66. I quilted free motion loops.

Snowball star

Still more Christmas

My Aunt let me keep all the leftovers from her quilts and now I had leftovers from my quilt. The idea in my head was something with a white and grey background. Which I found at JoAnns! My daughter was very happy with it. But I had even more fabric and lots of HSTs that needed something. A google search and I had a interesting pattern. This one will go to my Mom (don’t tell her!:)

Christmas quilts

My Aunt asked me to create a Christmas quilt. She even went and bought some of the fabric! I was actually able to make her two! The pattern she liked was HSTs. Then I made one using Jenny Doan’s Antique Lace pattern; but changed the way the colors laid out to get the secondary pattern to step forward.

Topsy Turvy Lap Quilt

This is a charity quilt, measures 42 x 50. Pattern is from one of the Three Yard Quilts Books, called Topsy Turvy. When using these patterns, I usually use a yard and a half of each fabric to do wider borders and binding. As it was, I used up every inch of fabric, hence the scrappy binding. I quilted it on a Babylock Tiara. Still learning to use it, purchased it second hand for a good price, like new. Happy Happy Happy!

Small Lap Quilt

Using up fabric from the king-sized quilt I made a while back, I made this small "napping" quilt. I don't like a lot of covering at night but like my shoulders to be covered. Much of the time I grab small quilt to throw over my shoulders. This finished at 52.5 x 60. The smaller picture is the king-sized quilt.

Pittsburgh Steelers Quilt

My husband is a Steelers fan, so this is his quilt. It's 55 x 66. has a flannel back and is quite cozy. I custom quilted it with rulers in a combination of footballs, curves and straight lines. Fabric from Joann's, pattern is a 3 yard quilt pattern, I added an extra border to make the quilt bigger.

Fall Harvest
