    I made this quilt for a dear friend who loves hedgehogs, and who is going through some medical issues. I am hoping mice get along with hedgehogs! The Simple Daisy panto mimics the daisies in the orange fabric.

    This is a quilt for my sister. I chose coordinating teal/turquoise fabrics and a batik white. The pattern was inspired by a quilt I saw on Pinterest. I used Yardage and fat quarters, mostly in batik. I free motion quilted it with an all over water meander pattern on my domestic machine with turquoise thread. I used the left over fabric to make a scrappy binding and backed it in a small turquoise dot print.

    I bought this panel for a donation quilt and my daughter fell in love with it. She asked for attic windows pattern. I had so much trouble with everything lining up and then I quilted it upside. I used a panto with eagles on it, so the eagles are flying upside down. It’s a good thing that the quilting is not very noticeable. I’m so glad it is finished. Better done then sitting in my sewing room

The folks that have previously won cannot enter the following years. My dear Aunt Lois and Uncle Kermit Oakes won the quilt for 2017. I love this tradition.

    I made this for my mom for Christmas last year. She loves green! Even the background of this quilt is a pale green. In person, the quilt is quite bright and seems to glow with the presence of the green background. I really enjoyed making this pattern and it goes together fairly quickly.

    I fell in love with french braid quilts and made this one for myself! It took me three rounds of fabric buying before I was satisfied with the results. The birds in the center of the braid are fussy cut but then had to be bordered to make the dimensions fit correctly. I love how this quilt glows! The custom quilting is gorgeous. Each fabric in the braid is quilted with a different pattern.

    Yep! This apron is worthy of heating up the skillet. I am so happy with my first sewn apron. It came to me from a pattern book I rec'd from my co-worker: FABULOUS FAT QUARTER APRONS by Mary Beth Temple. Very nostalgic thing for me since my Mama always wore an apron when in the kitchen or cleaning fish! NEW SKILLS LEARNED: Gathering a skirt, the Flat-Felled Seem, application of Binding.
