I got this gorgeous Barcelona jelly roll but wanted to try something different, so I started making blocks. The project stalled for a while because I was terrified of making a mistake cutting the blocks to one size, but once I had help doing that, adding the sashing was a breeze. All finished now. Pete chose the fabric for the binding and the thread for the quilting, so it really is his quilt. I'm so proud of this, I could spit!

Summer in the park

During the summer 2014 I watched every evening The Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorials on youtube. All that were available and many repeatedly. Then I tried my first quilt. For my sister for christmas. I thought a deadline would help to start and finish and not give up during the way. It worked! It's of the size of a German bed. So happy with my new hobby!

Christmas Film

I had a lot of 2" inch squares of Christmas fabric cut out for another project... 8 years before I ever thought of quilting! What to do with them? I saw the quilt " Film at Five" on line and decided to use up all those little pieces. My dad got his very own blanket for Christmas. This was my sixth quilt in my learning process.

Didn't measure a thing. I simply used the Easy Pinwheel tutorial. I used Kona white and Kona brights layer cakes. Quilted using a bright lime green thread to exactly match the same color Kona solid. The quilt is 7 blocks by 6 blocks for a total of 42...the top row is over the fence so it doesn't show. And the dark shape in the bottom right corner is photobombing Petey, my Pibble mix.

Midnight Snowfall

Living in Missouri, we typically do not get a lot of snow. I adore snow....so I made my own...created my original snowflake dresden quilt block, that turned into a king size quilt. It has been published in Quiltmaker magazine January -February 2015 ssue.

Chocoholic Quillow

I received the Chocoholic Charm pack from MSQC as a Daily Deal when I placed an order on Valentine's Day. I wasn't for sure on what I was going to do with it so I watched some of Jennys tutorials and was attracted to the Falling Charms quilt pattern. I am new to quilting and have not made a quilt yet but have made a few wall-hangings and pillows. I thought that this would be a good pattern and something fun to start out with. Then I remembered this throw that my mom had that folded up and went into a pocket and then it turned into a pillow. I thought that would be neat to make so this is what I created.
