I am hoping to make a Christmas quilt for each of my families this year, this is the third, I need nine. I have held on to this layer cake because I love it so much and wanted the right pattern. This pattern was fun to make, but the seams are bulky. Next time I will use 1/2 inch seam allowance to spread out some of the bulk.

O Christmas Tree!

I found a free Christmas Tree rag quilt pattern online and decide to rework the pattern for charm squares. I ended up making 2 of these quilts for little ones in the family. Then I reworked the pattern again for 2 1/2 inch squares. It was a fun pattern to use with Christmas scraps! Here are pics of 1 of the 3 quilts using 5 inch squares finished and the 2 1/2 inch square quilt on the design board.

Half-Hexagon Quilt in Flannels

This lap quilt is a Christmas present for my brother-in-law. I made it from Sashed Half-Hexagon pattern from Block Magazine, Spring Vol. 3 Issue 2. It is made with flannels from Woodland Haven, 5 Easy Pieces Fat Quarters+ Primo Plaids Christmas Favorites Fat Quarter bundle. The Border is Woolies Color Wash Flannel Bordeaux.

I liked Jenny's Thanksgiving quilt and I thought it would look great using my leftover fabric from a large quilt I made with Moda's Modern Neutrals, so I downloaded the pattern and got to work on 'Mt. Scrapmore'. I like how it turned out: a modern take on American tradition.

Blue Northcott Reindeer Sparkle pattern quilt

I just finished hand binding this Blue Northcott Reindeer Sparkle pattern quilt. This is the fifth of eight quilts that I quilted on my friend's longarm in Florida. I made this a long time ago. It had wavy borders, so my first experience at easing borders in on a longarm ;-) I'll gift this one to my daughter. Her favorite color is blue too. I bought three of these panels.
