This is a bear wall hanging that I made for a friend of mine, using batiks, this was my second project with applique, which was a lot of fun. I used batiks for the green and yellow bordered with dark brown.

Jeanne's Gift

This wall hanging is my first quilt with appliqué. All fabrics were from my stash. The cutouts are from a McCalls Christmas ornament pattern. This took more time than I expected because I kept changing my mind about whether I should use additional embellishments. I was pleased with the end results and had a ton of fun making it.

Country Flower Basket

I quilted this for a friend, the top took her over 2 years to Applique!I kept the quilting simple to enhance the hand work she had labored over. The finished size is 71" by 86.25"!

Just another quack!

I started this star at the Missouri Star forum retreat in 2015. I added the chick to the middle using a Sizzix die and raw edge appliqué. One of the other attendees shared fabric and instructions during our stay. A little quilting makes this a great addition to my sewing room and a symbol of one of my favorite main streets to visit!

Posy Pots

I saw this quilt years...and years ago on Simply Quilts and knew I wanted to make it. I found the pattern in "Patchwork Picnic" by Suzette Halferty and Nancy Martin and started it in 2003. I finished piecing and appliqueing in 2004 but didn't finish the hand quilting until 2009. It's a happy quilt and I still love it.

I picked up this Row By Row kit in Morganton, NC. It's a quaint shop and lovely ladies hosting the event. I loved the watering can and flowers. It was the only vertical pattern I managed to pick up. I never really thought of adding it to a quilt, I wanted it to hang on my front door in the spring and summer months. It's the only kind of flowers I'll get to grow around here!

Piggy Patches
