My father-in-law is ill, has hospice at home, and is always cold, even though it is summer. I came home from visiting him one evening and remembered that I had some flannel in my stash. I used three Primative Flannels charm packs and a panel called Flannel Essentials, Floral and Vines, black. The main part of the little quilt is made of the disappearing nine patch. My first try at free motion quilting is in the little outside border, not very good yet, but I will keep trying. I pray it warms his body and his heart. I am hoping it is the right size to keep him warm while he is sitting in his recliner. I sure had fun making it.
