Craftsy Jinny Beyer 2015 BOM plus more

I participated in the Craftsy Jinny Beyer BOM in 2015. I made all the blocks plus added blocks from Jinny's Garden 2010 BOM. In addition I included 12 kaleidoscope blocks from Avalon Bloom in East Fallowfield, PA to complete 31 blocks. Each block, sashing and borders were individually quilted and the entire quilt was set in the "quilt as you go" method. The finished size is 75" X 92".

New Bedding for me

I love my neutral bedding since it makes it easy to switch out pillows and shams and add different colors with the seasons. I decided that I wanted to add some bright colors to the room for the fall. I made an oversided throw, pillow cases and throw pillows. I loved this fun fabric and and used an Xs and Os pattern.

Falling Stars ~ Pattern in 6 Sizes Baby to King

Falling Stars is a quilt pattern I designed that includes instructions for 6 sizes from Baby to King, including 2 Lap sizes. The smaller lap is ideal for kids and shorter people, and the large lap fits tall people very well. The size of the HSTs in the quilts increases as the size of the quilt increases, so the bed quilts have larger HSTs and are thus faster to make yet still stunning. This quilt pattern looks great in pretty much any fabric combination with a solid color such as black, gray, white or your favorite solid color. This pattern was inspired by fabric design by Ellen of The Long Thread, and permission has been granted by the fabric designer for me to write this pattern. ABC Super Panel Quilt

I saw this large Windham panel and couldn't wait to make a quilt for one of my grandchildren. It was quilted by a local LAQ. Love the cute Moda dinosaur fabric on the back. It came out cute. Someone is getting a nice quilt for Christmas. :)

Chocolate Delights

For last Valentine's Day, I bought this delicious layer cake from Missouri Star Quilt Co. The top was from Jenny's Present Quilt video, and was completed in a few weeks. Then, I took some classes at Sew Right, a wonderful local fabric store, and had 2 large quilts and 5 small quilts to finish. This summer began with my pledge to finish my chocolate quilt. The back has 20 more chocolate squares with sashings in between. I even practiced free motion quilting designs. My husband is a very special guy, and this quilt is for him. Thanks for the inspiration, Jenny!

Weighted quilt for child with autism

I know a little boy who has recently been diagnosed with autism. His therapist suggested that his parents get him a weighted blanket to help comfort and calm him, helping him sleep. The family asked me if I could make one as they could not afford to buy the one the therapist suggested. I watched the Man Sewing tutorial and went to work. This little boy loves Star Wars, so he is thrilled with his new quilt. And, he sleeps much better now, and my heart is full.

Mason's quilt
