I made this table runner for my daughter. Christmas dinner was at her house this year. I didnt have a pattern. I just used a 9" white square and cut the corners off with a 3" square, appliqued a nose and added the buttons for the eyes and mouth. And gave it two borders.

Centerpieces & Pot Holders for Christmas 2016

My husband is unemployed this Christmas therefore, money is tight. My mentor, Fran gave me 6 Christmas panels that she picked up at a yard sale. I thought, these would make great Christmas Gifts for all the girls. I washed them, cut them up, bought a backing at another yard sale and started sewing. The panel came with a centerpiece and 1 pillow. ( I didn't want to make a pillow for the kitchen, therefore, I made potholders/trivets instead.) I just sewed around the pictures to give the panel that quilted look. I have to admit I am one of those people that whenever I get a gift done, I want to give it to that person. immediately. "Topsy Turvy Moose" (Happy Hollow Designs)

I made this table runner for our "Spirit of Christmas" church bazaar to raise money for local causes. Before I took it in, my DH commented on how much he liked it. It sold in the first half hour on sale day. A friend came in looking specifically for my runner. She was sad when I told her it sold, so I promised to make her another. As long as I was starting over, I decided to make two at once so I could give one to hubby, too. Now, however, I've had enough of blanket stitching around moose antlers!
