I bought the pattern from Jenny. I quilted it using a pantograph on a long arm machine. I like the was the hummingbirds on the back look like they are flying through gusts of wind. I intend to gift it to a friend who just celebrated her 80th.

Winter Wonder in Lavender

When I saw this block I had to try it. Using more leftovers from my stash I was able to make a large throw size quilt. On a previous quilt I purchased an Omnigrid triangle tool with lots and lots of grid lines that I could first use to square up the bottom edge of the units and then use a Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer after it was a HST. Really helped make sure I had a good point on the bottom so the secondary pattern worked out. Like usual, purple is very hard to photograph; first is washed out and second looks very grey.

My Dad's Quilt

I made this quilt for my dad using lots different fabrics featuring some of his favorite things. I included piano keys, crossword puzzles, blueberry & fish prints. The size is 60"x80", I big stitch quilted it in a zigzag pattern. It was a surprise for Father's Day last year. I was thrilled that he was very proud of his quilt.
