    My high school best friend's DIL had her first child, a little girl, and I wanted to make a quilt that would go and grow with her. I have been wanting to try an I Spy quilt and decided that this was the perfect opportunity. I used a variety of scraps, I spy, and fun material for the 5x5 blocks. It turned out crib or car size 34 x 40 inches. FMQ on my home machine. I used the disappearing 9 patch method to make the pattern. It was fun and fast.

    I saw this music fabric in a LQS recently and thought it would make the perfect fronts for placemats for my son and daughter in law. They both love music and met in Orchestra. They are reversible with a simple white on black pattern on the back. I used straight line quilting and am quite leased with them. They actually look better than the picture.
