    I made this with fat quarters I found at Big Lots. I was new to quilting, and knew that the material wasn't the best, but I wanted to try this BOM and learn different blocks so I wasn't worried about using cheap fabric. The apple green used for the background and sashing isn't my favorite either. I really don't like the quilt colors at all, but I did learn a lot. Quilt not finished, just the top is done.

    I made this for my 6 yr old granddaughter. When I made the wacky pinwheels I was not aware of a tool I could have purchased to make it wacky without cutting all those wedges and sewing them on the sides!!!! I also hid the name Lena calls me "Geeba" in one of the blocks. It is also the largest quilt that I have free motion quilted on my Janome 6600. I think it came out just the way I hoped it would!

    These quilts were designed by my daughter and I for her then fiancé and my younger daughter. His favorite constellation is Cygnus and hers is Leo. I made various type stars to represent different magnitudes in the constellation, The hardest part was finding all those purple batiks.
