My brother in law's wife is Australian and an artist. I wanted to do a quilt for her with some Australian Aboriginal fabric that she had found on a web site. When I saw this pattern, I knew i had to make it.

Qbert - Arcade Game

I attended a class on this pattern (Arcade Game by Jaybird Quilts) on Saturday, July 23. I left with the sidekick ruler, fabric (a pre-packaged set of Kona solids) and pattern. I cut it out that evening and put it together on Sunday, July 24. I found the backing fabric at the quilt shop the following Tuesday, and ended up dropping the quilt off at my favorite long armer in early August. They used a different quilting motif for each color block, repeating it throughout the quilt. It’s great!

Scrappy Pumpkins

I kept seeing such cute pumpkin quilts online and on Instagram and I knew I had to make one too- we just moved into a new town and we are really sprucing our our new house. I found this pattern on Craftsy, by Must Love Quilts. I added 2.5in sashing and a 5.5in border. I used some of my stash fabric and I bought more from my LQS. On my pieced backing, I stitched down some of the selvedges I used. I absolutely love how this turned out and it's perfect for keeping warm all autumn long!

Christmas Quilt Frenzy

Pieced the top last year and set aside to make t-shirt quilts. I saw Jenny's Tutorial for a Halloween quilt and decided to use the Christmas quilt pieces that I had been collecting. Oversized album quilt block quilt

Used a pattern out of Camille Roskelley's Simply Retro called Vintage but scaled it down to 42x42" and instead of making a traditional quilt sandwich with batting and backing, I'm quilting the top on to 4 layers of flannel with straight line quilting a half inch apart to make into a faux chenille. Should be cozy!

Audrey's Quilt

This quilt is made for a kid who loves purple. It's 56" square barn raising layout. I stipple quilted using Aurifil 50 wt. thread. Batting is Quilter's Dream Select polyester (first time I used it and I loved it!) thread and batting make all the difference, don't they?
