Mama & Baby Elephants for a Baby Girl quilt

A very dear friend had a baby boy two years ago that did not survive. A new Surprise last Christmas, and they are pregnant again this time with a baby girl. This cute quilt and two burp cloths are for Melissa & her new baby girl. The fabric is Olive's Flower Market by Moda with a flannel backing. I stitched both sides of the jumbo ricrac to make sure it stays put after many washings. The applique for the two elephants were quick and fun as well as for the balloons. The embroidery was quick. I added the "Minnie Mouse" buttons on the balloons and buttons for the elephant's eyes. The Pattern "Mommie & Me is by Collette Belt.

Spooky Hourglass

I was wanting to makw a few quick and easy quilts this year for halloween. This is onw of the quilts ive made. It ended up being between the size of a baby quilt and a lap.. I also.made a matching tablerunner. The fabric is from SPOOKY DELIGHTS charm packs which is unfortunately discontinued/"sold out forever". Im so glad i got to use it in one whole quilt. Oh, i almost forgot, The backing fabric Sparkles! I wish it would show up on camera!

Hunter's Baby

One of my husband's coworkers is an avid hunter and is having a baby girl. When my husband asked me to do a quilt for his friend, I knew it had to be the hunter's star. I've been wanting to do this pattern for awhile. Thanks for the tutorial! I had a hard time with it, but did quilt it on my home machine.

Bridesmaid Dress Redo

A friend wanted me to incorporate fabric from her bridesmaid dress 15 years old into the baby quilt of a long awaited baby boy. It was burnt orange so ...not so easy to get a match. I decided to use a fabric line that I love! Stripes of the satin on the top and bottom of the back added to the quilt! Both the giver and the receiver were very happy. I embroidered the baby's name on the front.

For my niece

My mother made this wilt did my niece. While making it she was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a gift to her, her quilter said she would teach her how to quilt it and quilt this quilt and any others she would finish during her treatment. Well my mother was not up to the challenge and had me accept the gift in her behalf. So technically I didn't piece it but I did quilt it. It's my first quilting experience.

Coral Baby Quilt

Commissioned by a friend to make a baby quilt for her grand niece, this was one of the choices. I used the falling charms pattern, but used 1-1/2" strips instead of 2-1/2" for a more "petite" look and to focus on the colored fabrics. Found a gorgeous coral flannelette for the backing. Still not quilted! She chose the purple one for the grand niece!

Pretty Purple Baby Quilt

Commissioned by a friend to make a quilt for a baby girl about to be born to her nephew and wife. Several patterns, styles and colors considered, but she liked the purple one best! It's a simple disappearing 9 patch, using the same color center block, various solids for the sides and the printed fabric for the corners, makes a block that looks like a sashed and cornerstones block. Flower Pots With Pinwheels Baby Quilt
