The ugly quilt

I started this quilt as I'm little more than a beginner. My husband looked at it in the beginning and said that's a ugly quilt. It bright colors. got 2 charm packs and the strips the same design from walmart. I think it turned out pretty . What your opinion?

Jenni's college graduation quilt

I'd never made a full bed quilt before I started this quilt. I purchased the beautiful Lovely charm squares for it when they were being promoted in MSQC quilt contest. I liked the Falling Charms quilt and used that tutorial to help me on the way to this first quilt. I found a long arm quilter quite close by and she and I have become good friends. I admire her good work and very reasonable prices. Jenni loves her quilt with the label "Made by Grandma Kesler". I made it on my Pfaff sewing machine ....it had been reviewed on a MSQC forum page and I bought it and love sewing quilts on it.

Restoring a Vintage Quilt for Someone

We bought our 100 year old house from a great family who raised four generations here in this house. We have remained friendly over the last two years since taking ownership. The youngest daughter had this vintage quilt made by their mother when she lived here. The black squares were of a weaker fabric and were shredding. I appliqued new black squares over the other ones, and blind stitch around the edges. I also repaired other seams that were falling apart with carefully hidden stitches. It will still be intact but I cautioned her to not "use" it anymore and now hang it from a rack instead. She promised to only use it when she is sick and wants to curl up in her mother's arms, savoring her memory... awwwww

Diamond Periwinkle

I made this for my favorite Aunt. I love the large Periwinkle blocks but really hated all the negative space. So I snowballed the corners, which created this cool diamond pattern. As near as I can tell, it's the only one like it. I'm thrilled with how it turned out and my Aunt loves it! Which, honestly, is the most important part.

I bought the charm packs cause I loved the fabrics... no idea what I was going to use them for until I saw Jenny's quilt in Quilting Quickly. I was making this quilt for my bed (queen) when I was single, now married (king) so it doesn't fit, but still love it!

My son's Music Rag Quilt

This was actually the first quilt I ever made. It was fun and I like the way it turned out. My son loved it and it's actually quite raggedy from lots of use and needs a few fixes here and there. It is a well loved quilt and that makes me happy :)
