This was a rushed project submitted as my first quilt show entry hosted by the quilt guild I am a member of! I didn't have a pattern to go by...I just let my imagination run wild! I didn't place in the quilt show (it was in a heavy category of many quilts); but it was a great experience!

The Dusty Ranch

This quilt was made for my sister while she was away working on a ranch in New Mexico. I love the quatrefoil pattern and wanted to see what it looked like when you boxed in the star. I think it worked well with the grey, black, dusty rose and beautiful equine pattern. This was also the first time I tried to fussy cut and maintain directionality!

I've made an attic windows wall quilt for each of my 20something grandkids for their birthday in 2016. This one is for my oldest granddaughter. She picked out this scenic fabric. I love the wall quilts as they go together pretty quickly

448 Half Square Triangles

This quilt started with 448 half square triangles. I sewed these in pairs and then sewed two sets of pairs together and finally I sewed four sets together in an hourglass formation making 56 blocks. Next I cut each block into nine pieces and rearranged the pieces to make the final 56 star blocks. I used layer cakes from Moda - Blue Barn, RJR - Maison Bleue, Benartex - Gazebo Rosemont, and yardage.

Long May She Wave

Saw Jenny's tutorial on the curved log cabin block and knew I had to try it. Had a grandson who wanted a red, white, and blue quilt. Bought one jelly roll and one honeybun from Missouri Star and was on my way. So easy. So fun. Found the diagonal waves layout on internet and thought of the Betsy Ross circle of stars myself. Jenny, you got me back into quilting after 30 years and you keep me going. This is the 10th quilt I have made since discovering MSQC. about 2 1/2 years ago. I quilt them all myself on my domestic sewing machine.

Scrappy Pumpkins

I kept seeing such cute pumpkin quilts online and on Instagram and I knew I had to make one too- we just moved into a new town and we are really sprucing our our new house. I found this pattern on Craftsy, by Must Love Quilts. I added 2.5in sashing and a 5.5in border. I used some of my stash fabric and I bought more from my LQS. On my pieced backing, I stitched down some of the selvedges I used. I absolutely love how this turned out and it's perfect for keeping warm all autumn long!
