I love these colors, my entire house could be these shades of purple and green and I would be fine! This quilt was an experiment, I sewed very carefully and pressed by seams open. Is a very nice quilt, nice and square and straight. lesson learned

Woodland Creatures for Casey, Jr.

This is my first attempt at applique. I made this baby quilt for my first grandchild/son expected in early September. His mother, my DIL, is doing his room in Moose/Deer/Bear. I wanted to do all moose on this quilt, but my husband talked me into doing different animals. Most times this is done in squares. My son loves argyle, so I turned the square. Never again! Applique is ok to do!

Labyrinth Raffle Quilt

I'm the vicar at a rural church in eastern AZ. One of our parishioners built a labyrinth on the church property as his last physical act before succumbing to kidney cancer. Our congregation named the Labyrinth after him and we are raising money so that we can maintain it to honor Charlie's memory. So far, we've raised $427 and we still have the month of June to go. We are hopeful that we will reach $750 toward our $5000 goal for refurbishing and maintenance. It's a simple design, but my quilter did a lovely job turning it into quite a pretty piece -- at least that's what I think! UPDATE: This quilt raised $2000. God IS so very good!

Triple Irish Chain

I made this Triple Irish Chain quilt for my son's wedding. The centers include photos and memorabilia that have meaning to the bride/groom. Fabric used is Summer Breeze 3 (Moda) which just happened to be the exact colors that matched very well with their engagement photos. The outer borders were made from some floral fabric I had on hand since the Summer Breeze fabric had been discontinued. I enjoyed making this quilt and it was an easy quilt to put together.

Thomas Snowman Quilt

I had this layer cake, and was set on a pattern, when I decided I didn't like it ... then I had all these triangles? .... not sure what to do ... I just started laying them out on my bed ... and came up with this strange design .... so I went with it ... not sure I liked it ... but when it came home from the quilter ... Man Danny loved it ... he thought it was so neat ... I was going to finish but never got to it .... My Nephew Thomas is a wonderful person, and he reminds Me so much of my Danny .... Thomas and Danny were close. .... So I am finishing this quilt and giving it to Thomas for his birthday this year, with love from his Aunt Kim & Uncle Danny.

Missouri Star Disappearing Hourglass

I started this quilt at MO Star retreat in May 2016 from the Block Magazine. It was donated to The Linus Connection in Austin, TX. I used one Riley Blake Off Shore Layer Cake and Kona Layer Cake.
