Hour GLass Quilt for my BFF

I made this quilt for a good friend who was going through major surgery. She was coming to my house to recover and I wanted this quilt on the bed when she came home. So I needed a quilt I could make in a relatively short period of time. The fabric line is Hyde Park by Moda and I used layer cakes. The free motion quilting was done by me on my home domestic machine [Pfaff].

Replacement Quilt for my Daughter

One year ago we moved my daughter to Arizona for Grad school. The U-haul trailer was stolen off our truck. Just about everything the girl owned including 2 quilts. Friends under the Sea

After seeing several quilts using fabric panels, I decided to take the plunge. This was so simple. I cut the small aquatic squares and used Jenny Doan's "The Tipsy Tumbler" quilt idea and enclosed the small squares within 10" squares. Then used those squares as the border around the big panel. Included with the fabric panel were coordinating strips which I sewed on opposite corners. This was so easy.
