This was my first try at diamonds. It was made for a friend to give at a baby shower. The diamonds were fun and not at all as difficult as I had imagined. The soft pinks and greys don't show up well on the computer screen. I was overall very pleased with this one.

Dresden Squares

The squares were made during the 1950s by my sister in laws grandmother. They had been stored in a box for years when my sister in law received them. She asked me if I could make a quilt out of them. They are so bright and cheerful! I was honored.

Trains & Whistles

My son is a conductor, dispatcher and engineer for a private railroad. He has always loved trains. I found these quilt squares on Ebay and made this quilt. He is also a talented artist and I printed some of his drawings on muslin and sewed them to the back of the quilt.
