    My hubby purchased this lovely fabric collection, Gypsy Girl by Lily Ashbury, and I created this darling quilt. I love pinwheels! I didn't use a pattern for this project. I just make it up as I went along. Jenny shows a great idea on how to make fast and easy pinwheels. I machine quilted this quilt top on my Bernina 830 sewing machine that sits on a quilt frame.

    This was made from a story book. made this for our neighbor. They ae expecting a little boy a week before Christmas. As I made Big Sister a I Spy quilt I felt little brother should have one of his own. It was a story book of Twinkle, Twinkie Little Star. The local shop had one on display & the pattern too. I thought it was perfect for this baby boy. The fabric is call "Bunnies By The Bay for Timeless Treasures Fabric of SoHo, LLC. All matching material but for the plain grey and yellow from this line. The back as they love Disney is Micky and Minnie Mouse. It is called "Nice is Not the Same As Wimpy. It is Disney for Springs Creative Products Group LLC and sold for noncommercial home use only. The binding is gray matches the front but also the tiny polka dots on the back. So Mom can use either side. I machine quilted this myself. Yup, first time and last time for a quilting myself. .

    I've been making quilts for all of my daughter's best friends. I had one more to make for a friend from college. Her friends favorite color is purple. I found this beautiful Dreamscapes II purple digitaly printed fabric to use. My daughter chose the MSQC 9 patch and hourglass pattern. Lovely longarm quilting by Patti Hutchins. It's approxamately 94" square. This is the first time that I have used a light gray as the background fabric.

    I used some leftover blocks and fabrics from quilts of valor I have done this past year, and put together this lap quilt. I quilted it myself. My mom saw it and wanted it for a 95 year old woman veteran at the nursing home she visits frequently. I was honored to give it to her.
