Rina & Mark's anniversary quilt
My husband's niece was married a little more than 12 years ago. I wanted to make her and her husband a gift, but to spare everyone the boring details, let's just say I wasn't in a good place. I had seen the Whack & Stack method of cutting demonstrated on Sewing with Nancy and was more motivated to make that quilt than any other. This was before Amazon, so I had to drive from bookstore to bookstore until I found the book. Then, it was a search for just the right fabric. The top was completed within a week of me seeing the demonstration. But, I folded it up and stuck it in the cupboard. I looked at it from time to time; I just couldn't find it in me to finish it until earlier this year. Literally, all it needed was to be laid out with the backing fabric. So I sent it off to MSQC for quilting. When it came back, it took my breath away. I think it's the prettiest quilt I've made to date. I hope everyone else likes it too. My niece and her husband certainly seemed too.
