I LOVE the colors of this fabric. I get compliments on it all the time. I used a layer cake but you could also use charm squares. This quilt took first place at the Pecos Valley Quilt Show and second place at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair. Being newly retired, they volunteered to keep Jonathan when Morgan went back to school to finish her nursing degree. They love keeping him so much, they're still keeping him (going on three years now) and his little sister. This is a gift for Jonathan and Esther to give to Nana and Nandy. I purchased the beautiful Lovely charm squares for it when they were being promoted in MSQC quilt contest. I liked the Falling Charms quilt and used that tutorial to help me on the way to this first quilt. I found a long arm quilter quite close by and she and I have become good friends. I admire her good work and very reasonable prices. Jenni loves her quilt with the label "Made by Grandma Kesler". I made it on my Pfaff sewing machine ....it had been reviewed on a MSQC forum page and I bought it and love sewing quilts on it. It is for a long twin because I added extra blocks to make it so. By A41Leslie 12 LIKES | 1818 VIEWS Butterfly Kisses Made for my cousin's first grand daughter. But Grandma wanted something bright and cheerful for my grandbabies. So, bright colors, fresh fruit, and the blue and green that will complement their kitchen and dining room. By KPH 4 LIKES | 972 VIEWS Sunbonnet Sue I wanted to make this quilt for awhile . Had a 30's charm pack and so I began. Got an idea to do just the top and use a bed ruffle for a flounce. Kinda of creating the bedspreads I remember from the 70's and 80's By Iris-Girl 3 LIKES | 1060 VIEWS Owl Quatrefoil Made this with some adorable owl fabric I had and the new tutorial. It is far from perfect but I will learn from my mistakes! By A41Leslie 8 LIKES | 2795 VIEWS Restoring a Vintage Quilt for Someone We bought our 100 year old house from a great family who raised four generations here in this house. We have remained friendly over the last two years since taking ownership. The youngest daughter had this vintage quilt made by their mother when she lived here. The black squares were of a weaker fabric and were shredding. I appliqued new black squares over the other ones, and blind stitch around the edges. I also repaired other seams that were falling apart with carefully hidden stitches. It will still be intact but I cautioned her to not "use" it anymore and now hang it from a rack instead. She promised to only use it when she is sick and wants to curl up in her mother's arms, savoring her memory... awwwww By KarenInTheWoods 6 LIKES | 1294 VIEWS My Pinwheel Quilt This was my first try at making a pinwheel quilt. I don't remember the line of fabric that it's from, but I did follow Jenny's tutorial on how to make it. It was fun and easy to make. By brook 24 LIKES | 2136 VIEWS «12...484950515253545556»
