I began quilting just recently at 70 years old. I watched loads of Jenny's tutorials, and decided to do the Garden of Eden quilt for my daughter. I used Lulu Roses and although it is not perfect she is thrilled with it.

Autism Tribute

Chocoholic Quillow

I received the Chocoholic Charm pack from MSQC as a Daily Deal when I placed an order on Valentine's Day. I wasn't for sure on what I was going to do with it so I watched some of Jennys tutorials and was attracted to the Falling Charms quilt pattern. I am new to quilting and have not made a quilt yet but have made a few wall-hangings and pillows. I thought that this would be a good pattern and something fun to start out with. Then I remembered this throw that my mom had that folded up and went into a pocket and then it turned into a pillow. I thought that would be neat to make so this is what I created. My son's Music Rag Quilt

This was actually the first quilt I ever made. It was fun and I like the way it turned out. My son loved it and it's actually quite raggedy from lots of use and needs a few fixes here and there. It is a well loved quilt and that makes me happy :)

Magic Diamonds (Half Square Triangle Quilt)

I love Kansas Troubles fabric and have MANY charm packs - all different. I also had Windham Fabrics Butter Pecan charm packs. After I saw the tutorial I decided to try it. This is very scrappy and old fashioned looking - which I like. This is also in the Block magazine.

I just love Jenny Doans tutorials and even thought I am an experienced quilter and have made many many quilts, I love her quilts and the simplicity of a lot of them but looks to be a difficult pattern when finished I have to make nearly everything she teaches. For My Mom

I made this quilt from Rachel Ashwell fabrics for my Mom's 86th Birthday. My Mom loves quilts but doesn't sew a stitch. It was the first full-size quilt I ever attempted and I was pretty scared working with all that expensive fabric. It turned out perfectly, my Mom loved it and I went on to make three more large quilts. I use a Husqvarna Lily 550 to quilt.

I love Jenny's flower garden quilt. My idea was to make an all violet one. Once I had the blocks together it looked kind of boring, I appliqued the yellow centers, stems and leaves, as an after thought. This was donated to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
