    I make a quilt for each new baby born to the marketing department where I work. My first try at a hexagon quilt made the perfect little honeycomb for baby to be. Mom loved it at the baby shower and hopefully baby will too. I pieced the back to include fabric scraps. This fabric was awesome to work with for this project.

    I love batiks and found a celestial batik fabric that I especially liked. I started the quilt top (using an Ocean Waves quilt block pattern) with the intention of giving it to my husband who loved gazing at the night skies with his telescope. We got divorced before I finished it. I recently finished it and had it quilted with a stars and swirls quilting design. Love how it turned out. It's mine now-too bad x-hubby!
