Made this quilt for my daughter for Christmas. It is Jenny's Disappearing Nine Patch. I liked the idea of laying the blocks so that seams did not match. It is a fun pattern that can be arranged so many different ways.

Hershey

This was the first quilt I ever had commissioned! A coworker ordered it for her father as a Christmas present. I ordered the middle chocolate lab panel from Ebay, and found the smaller pictures on Etsy. I also had to order the tractor fabric from Ebay. The client was very active in helping pick out the fabric, since her father loves his lab dog, is a farmer and loved pheasant hunting. She also wanted a fluffy polar fleece as the backing. I had so much fun designing this quilt. I was able to add the dog's name to the middle picture with my Viking Sapphire 960Q machine. The quilt was a huge hit!

Orange Peel

I made this quilt for my sister for Christmas. She loves circle, so I did an Orange Peel with the intersecting circles and I had the quilter do a circle pattern.

Nine Patch & Fence Rail

I bought a layer cake of the Maple Island fabric by Holly Taylor for Moda and then went hunting for a quilt pattern. As usual, I found one I loved from Missouri Star! My friend used a leaf pattern for the longarm quilting and I decided to use one of the decorative stitches on my machine for the binding.

Beach Fun

This is the first full size quilt I made. It was a gift for my daughter because we love the beach. It is the Irish Chain pattern and is made with your basic nine patch. I used free motion quilting with a wave pattern.

Bookshelf

This is the third full size quilt I made. It was a gift for my oldest granddaughter. She is an avid reader and honor student so the bookshelf pattern was perfect for her. She likes things with a twist so using batiks and changing up the pattern a bit was right in line with her tastes. As a surprise for her I included an applique of her cat. On this quilt I used free motion quilting with a heart motif.

Friendship Braid

This is the fourth full size quilt I have made. It was a gift for my daughter-in-law. I used a Robert Kaufman fabric called Satsuki 3 to give it a little Japanese feel because she likes red & black. I tried the straight-line machine quilting for the first time and I really enjoyed doing it and think it looks great. She loved it and that was the most important thing.

Beacon Of Hope Quilt
