Graduation Hexi

Made with a Fusions Texture Jelly Roll and MSQC's Half Hexi template, I hope this will be appreciated and loved by my husband's nephew as he graduates from high school. I decided at the end of my piecing to 'float' the coloured hexis instead of cutting off the edges straight to add the border.

Rainbow String Quilt

This was my first string quilt, made entirely from scraps. My scraps are sorted by color, so it was easy to create blocks by color. I didn't have a plan when I started making the blocks;I was simply experimenting with foundation piecing. This quilt makes me smile every time I look at it; of dozens of quilts I've made in the past three years, it's by far my fave! It hangs in my sewing room.

My first quilt.

I have wanted to quilt but was afraid. After watching the Missouri Star quilt tutorials I decided to take the plunge. I decided to make the disappearing 9 patch. I wanted to make something special for my Son for this birthday and thought a quilt would be perfect. Collin loves Pokemon so It was the main theme of the quilt. I went to the local quilt shop and go the fabric. To put the Pokemon into the quilt I used the iron on t-shirt transfers. It worked like a charm
