May the Force be with you.

My daughter and her new husband are huge Star Wars fans so for their wedding I pieced together this quilt. It is a 2-sided quilt with the Imperial Army on one side and the Rebel Force on the other. I would not have been able to do the quilt without Michelle at Misha29 and the lovely ladies at Fandom in Stitches who designed and published most of the blocks (there are 2 crochet patterns that I converted).

SPRING QUILT

"April showers bring May flowers..." i had orifinally planned on getting this quilt finished in April, but we got sooo busy i couldnt get it done. I really wanted it done by spring. At least i finished it in May! better late than never! Used a fat quarter bundle and some yardage. This is the first quilt ive made with free motion quilting and i think it turned out nice!

Quatrefoil Stars

Latest quilt. This was made for Heartworks (local quilt shop) 20th anniversary celebration planned for later this year - August. There will be a quilt show, talk by Deb Strain (Moda fabric designer) and other components to the day. One of the celebration fabric collections to be used in quilts made is Garden Notes (which is what I used). There is a theme of bees in a lot of collections this year - as in this one. The quilt pattern is Quatrefoil Stars. (Do you see the stars. Focus on the green center.) The long arm quilted pattern I chose is Honey. Fun. It will be great to see what everyone makes for this. Quite a milestone for Heartworks to be in business for 20 years.
