By estelle71 12 LIKES | 1168 VIEWS Purple Drunken Braids I good friend asked me to make a quilt for her. I agreed and asked what she had in mind her answer was I don't know something purple and queen sized. So I came up with this design it's a combination of the friendship braid and mini tumblers (that I call shot glasses) I chose to put in black strips to make the 2 elements pop. It turned out better then I thought it would.. By Sammi 11 LIKES | 1209 VIEWS May the Force be with you. My daughter and her new husband are huge Star Wars fans so for their wedding I pieced together this quilt. It is a 2-sided quilt with the Imperial Army on one side and the Rebel Force on the other. I would not have been able to do the quilt without Michelle at Misha29 and the lovely ladies at Fandom in Stitches who designed and published most of the blocks (there are 2 crochet patterns that I converted). By AuntyJo43 6 LIKES | 843 VIEWS SPRING QUILT "April showers bring May flowers..." i had orifinally planned on getting this quilt finished in April, but we got sooo busy i couldnt get it done. I really wanted it done by spring. At least i finished it in May! better late than never! Used a fat quarter bundle and some yardage. This is the first quilt ive made with free motion quilting and i think it turned out nice! By KatieBird 7 LIKES | 954 VIEWS Mothers Birthday My mother has so many quilts that my grandmother had made. For the first time, I paper pieced and quilted a zipper bag. Yes, felt it should be given as a gift for my mothers 83rd birthday. By Jkdp101 5 LIKES | 880 VIEWS Blue and White Rag Throw This is my first quilting project. It was an experiment to see if I wanted to pursue quilting as a hobby. I'm pleased with the way it came out. I trimmed down fat quarters to 9" squares and used flannel for the backing. By mollywog 2 LIKES | 520 VIEWS Our World Mission Quilt I made this quilt for a silent auction at our church. The proceeds of the auction will benefit the mission fund and the people going on mission from our church. The gal who won the auction was thrilled with it! I loved that she was so excited! I saw this pattern, liked it, and pieced it! By Kriss 3 LIKES | 734 VIEWS Quatrefoil Stars Latest quilt. This was made for Heartworks (local quilt shop) 20th anniversary celebration planned for later this year - August. There will be a quilt show, talk by Deb Strain (Moda fabric designer) and other components to the day. One of the celebration fabric collections to be used in quilts made is Garden Notes (which is what I used). There is a theme of bees in a lot of collections this year - as in this one. The quilt pattern is Quatrefoil Stars. (Do you see the stars. Focus on the green center.) The long arm quilted pattern I chose is Honey. Fun. It will be great to see what everyone makes for this. Quite a milestone for Heartworks to be in business for 20 years. By FlyCreekQuilter 8 LIKES | 951 VIEWS «12...11121314151617...3132»
