Made this for my daughter's newly decorated room

This cradle was made by my great-grandfather. My daughter use to play with it when she was a child and use it for her dolls. Now I have given it to her for her first child. I made a fitted sheet for it and a small flannel quilt. The back of the quilt has Shannon cuddle on it. Soooo sweet.

Merry Go Round Quilt

A friend and I were shopping at MSQC and decided we wanted a challenge to use a fabric we would typically never use. We found the perfect orange batik! I finally got my quilt completed. I am so happy with it. Collis Country Quilting did a beautiful job on the quilting!

Lisa's wedding quilt

I made this quilt for my daughter Holly's friend, Lisa Miller, who got married yesterday. She was very definitive about what she didn't want--no pinks and no yellows. I found a pattern at Modern Quilts Illustrated called Stacks. I ordered the quilt kit and started work on it at a quilt retreat in May. I made a mistake in placing the pieces so I had to redo part of it. I knew the wedding was in August so I was under the gun to get it done and sent off to be quilted. Thanks to Missouri Star, I got a wonderful quilt finish and it was packed up and given at the reception yesterday.

Stargello

It's an easy pattern, but it takes some time to do. Worth the effort, because it's really pretty. It's strip pieced in a bargello style and cut using two purchased templates. It is about 42" square. Next steps are to applique a circle in the center, then sandwich and quilt.

Ford Farm Quilt

This is a quilt I did for my Son as a Christmas gift in 2015. When I saw the panel in a shop while traveling the year before I knew it was perfect for my son who was 16 at the time. He is all about Fords, farming, tractors and he raises laying hens for eggs. I didn't have time to get it done that year for Christmas but the following summer while on vacation from work and he was working a summer job I was able to work on it. Just like I had hoped he loved it!

Variation on Summer in the Park

I made this for the wedding of my nephew & future niece. I started out using the summer in the park pattern and thought it looked a little busy with the printed fabric so I made more blocks and arranged it so the diamonds matched. I had enough left over fabric to make 2 faux pleated pillows. I love how it turned out and they love it too. Thank you MSQC for the best tutorials!

Cutting Corner - Sorbet

I made this quilt with a batik jelly roll that I won last year for my Row by Row quilt. The colours were bright and summery. I decided to use the M* Cutting Corners tutorial pattern, and added extra batik strips from my stash to make a bit larger. Since the end product reminded me of flavours of ice cream and sorbets, I will call this one Sorbet. This went together quite fast, using pre-cuts. About 12/15 hours total. This is another one for the quilting pile on my Sweet 16.
