I made this quilt for my daughter more than 10 years ago. It was a wedding gift for her and her fiance. It is hand appliquéd. It was made from a group of patterns that I purchased -- each pattern made one block of the quilt (I don't have them any more and can't remember who the designer was). I asked her to give it back if it needed any repairs -- I made this photo when she asked me to resew the binding that had come undone. It's probably a little larger than a twin bed size. It is hand quilted. Probably should have quilted more in the borders, but it has lasted well.

My Lattice Quilt

I made this as a gift for a family member. I purchased the fabric (Ophelia by Nancy Gere for Wyndham) and the Idea Book (Winter V1 Iss 1) when on retreat at MSQC in July 2015. It was a lot of fun to make and the instructions were easy to follow. Being a long-time quilter I modified some of the instructions (sorry, Jenny :-o) Love the way it turned out.

Each row taught me a new technique. Each row also tells a story or fun memory of my family from the past 12 years!! it was a fun fun project that i'm glad I actually finished! The back is all different fabrics that represent the 6 of us in fun ways too:) I did free motion quilting on each row or block separately, then joined them together. I also did a double sided binding!

Four Seasons QuilT

This is the quilt I made for my son and daughter in law's third wedding anniversary. It is the first one they have spent in Australia after working in London for 18 months. It is four seasons pattern as in a marriage, you stick together throughout all seasons. Love the Lagoon colours! i added a 6 inch border using the coordinating soft green floral and the darker purple binding to frame it.

A Grand Old Flag

I love how this project looks like an elegant heirloom. I finished the yoyos while running my kids around and it worked up so quickly. The kit came from My Girlfriend's Quilt Shop. If I was to change one thing, I would have done the background in a light gray-blue. That would have made the white stripes stand out better. It wasn't big enough for the store bought frame I found, so I sewed on a black "mat" and I love the effect. (Completed: 2012)

Farmer's Wife Quilt

There are 145 different blocks in this quilt. It was made using my scrap bin of batiks. Applique, paper piecing and regular piecing were used to make this quilt. It was started during a class at Quilt Play. Once I had 90 squares done, I started putting it together and couldn't stop until I made the other 55 blocks and finished the whole thing. I am not one to do scrap quilts but had a lot of fun making this one.
