I decided to make this quilt from a picture, a nine patch quilt. I started making this quilt before watching tutorials, before buying patterns, before knowing about another world out there, the Quilting World. After my first Quilting Exhibit, I was hooked. I started researching. This quilt started as a Quilt-As-You-Go and I finished it as a Fun and Done. Tonight I get to sleep under my Purple Heaven for the first time. I can not believe how accomplished I feel at this moment. This has been the best lessons that I have learned in a long time and I am having fun. I know I am not done because I am planning a quilt for my son, Wonky Window. Also If I have time I want to make another quilt for my nephew and his bride, Goodnight Irene. I am addicted to the creative process. I can't wait to see what I can make next.

Esther is only 7 months old, but big brother Jonathan had to give up the crib for his little sister. So Jonathan needed a big boy quilt. Things weren't all that grand, the pattern didn't work out well at all. I contacted the company and they sent another pack of material (and a different pattern- that I didn't use). In the long run, I made Jonathan's quilt work with the material I had, and Esther's came as a bonus! Lucky girl!
