It is not a quilt but made of fabric. Von dem Haus wurde jedes Teil einzel aus 3mm dicker Pappe mit dem Cutter von Hand zugeschnitten. Diese wurden dann mit Buchbinderleim zusammengeklebt und anschließend mit Stoff bezogen. Ein schöne Art um alle möglichen Kleinigkeiten hübsch aufzubewahren.

Memory Photo Quilt

Request by friend to create a photo quilt for her grandparents. I enjoyed this project being my first large photo quilt. This quilt includes 24 photos, digital prints from panel and I Used my embroidery/sewing machine. Was nervous also because of a chance the photoink would run. Washed 3 times with color catchers, pretreated photo fabric with Bubble jet 2000. Recipient loved the quilt

Birds on an Evergreen Bough

After a presentation on fracture quilts at a guild meeting, I tried this art piece, barely larger than a place mat. It starts with four identical panels which are cut precisely. There are lots of seams, and I found it important to get it done without time lapses to avoid moving strip positions incorrectly. It also required spreading out in extra space during construction. The prism effect is one that I like.

Summer Fruit Salad

I tried some English paper piecing. This pattern was purchased at a guild meeting and altered to fit my needs. Machine quilting rather than hand piecing. I decided to use some charm squares that had been patiently waiting in a basket and went shopping for a solid ombré fabric at my local quilt shop. It was a fun, quick project and the first to be completed in 2019!

Row By Row 2015 One

I traveled to Florida in 2015 for my birthday to visit my daughter. We drove over 200 miles collecting the Row by Row quilt patterns and a lot of fabric. I finished two quilts for my two daughters for Christmas 2016.

With the Light from Above

This quilt was designed by using a photo and transforming it into square pixels at a rather large setting in GIMP (photo manipulator). I graphed the resulting image and matched the colors from my bag of scraps. Most people have trouble seeing the dove flying in front of the flag, unless they are across the room from the quilt. Smaller squares would have made the image more evident, but I doubt I would have ever completed the project with smaller squares!

My niece's wedding quilt

Finally finished it a year after the wedding. I should have explained. The two pictures are the same quilt; front and back. I tend to use up the scraps and large pieces to make the back.
