    A wonderful giving person donated at least 15 fat quarters to our chapter to make quilts. The fabric is from the Look and Learn collection by American Jane for Moda. I was lucky to get most of the fat quarters and this is the first one I made.

    I initially made this for my niece's first baby. After I had finished it, they found out they were having a boy. The men in our family said that I would have to make another quilt because this one was too girly. So that's when I made Hugs & Kisses - boy version that I posted previously. This one is still waiting on a sweet little baby girl to come along. :)

    I got this pattern from Dresden Flower Garden by Blanche Young and Lynette Young Bingham. I love the pattern because it is a blend of Dresden Plate and Grandmother's Flower Garden patterns...two of my favorite traditional quilts.

    Several of my friends were working on this quilt. I just loved how fresh it looked with all those Aunt Grace fabrics. I got the pattern and the grid and started cutting. There are approximately 1700 pieces to this quilt. My thoughts in the middle of cutting were...if I had any common sense, I might not have started it. It is an easy sew and I recommend you read the pattern before starting. I love it.
