It finished at 36 x 44. I'm thinking it will be a baby gift for a baby due in November. The pattern is from Cluck Cluck Sew and the large version (5x5 block layout) is at the Long-arm Quilter and is on a grey background. It is a fun quilt to make and I went a bit crazy on buying orange fabrics so you may see more of these pumpkins in my profile. I plan to make 4x4 block layouts for each of my grandkids. By Audioadi 16 LIKES | 566 VIEWS Monet wedding ring quilt I always wanted a wedding ring quilt so I made it. My friends gave me a bunch of their scraps and I made the quilt top. It was my first queen sized quilt. A friend of mine long armed it for me. Year of the pandemic, I'm using stash, and finishing projects. By NannaLiz 15 LIKES | 628 VIEWS Night Sky Our youngest granddaughter just graduated from high school so this is her quilt I made. The pattern is Night Sky and I used fabric from Missouri Star from the Sage & Sea Glass collection by Kim Diehl for Michael Glass. Her favorite color is green and she loved this pattern. It was pretty difficult for me since it is all half square triangles. Too bad I didn't have the triangle square-up ruler when I did this. lol My husband says this is the prettiest quilt I have done. The support group were so helpful in helping me increase the size to king. Couldn't have done it without them. Thanks Missouri Star. By Sadie 14 LIKES | 764 VIEWS Jacob's Ladder As each of our grandchildren graduate from high school I present them with a quilt made by me, their Nana. Our oldest grandson is Jacob so thought this quilt was appropriate for his. It was a lot of work but also very rewarding. He loves it and sleeps under it all the time. Missouri Star was so helpful in this project from watching Jenny's tutorial to purchasing fabric. After I finished the quilt I noticed a secondary pattern that looked like a baseball diamond. He went to college on a baseball scholarship, so it was doubly fitting. Thanks Missouri Star. By Mstweety 5 LIKES | 646 VIEWS Strips and Strings This quilt started out to be something completely different. As I placed the blocks on the design wall, this is what I came up with using 1.5" strips. Hope a child likes it! By plquilter66 12 LIKES | 583 VIEWS Tiny Houses I was inspired by Jenny Doan to use up some of my scraps to make a quilt with a lot of little houses. I watched her tutorial and seemed very easy and it was. I thought I would make a couple of houses a week, but it became so much fun matching up scraps that it was finished much sooner than I thought. My original plan was to donate it, but I love it so much, it's now mine! By NannaLiz 24 LIKES | 1064 VIEWS Blush and Bashful I have been cutting precuts from my scrap stash. I picked out these 6 1/2 squares for a girl donation quilt to CASA. It was so much pink I thought of Steel Magnolias. Shelby (Julia Roberts) said her wedding colors were Blush and Bashful, when Mlynn said the church looked like it was covered in Pepto Bismol....I didn’t want to call it Pepto Bismol so....Blush & Bashful it is! I used the Make a Charm Quilt On Point tut but used my scrappy 6 1/2 inch squares and no border. Hope you like!-Toogie By toogie 10 LIKES | 634 VIEWS A Maze Last year when we gathered all our quilts for CASA I saw a maze quilt that another member quilted. I asked for the pattern and so this year this is one of the quilts we will be donating. Not only did Marge bring me the pattern she also cut these squares. I found enough for the backing in my stash to go with it. I quilted it with a larger meander than my Blush & Bashful I just posted. I think not only can a child play the maze, which has 2 ways out, I can see them running a toy car through the paths or playing I Spy with the squares. Something not only to comfort but entertain too. I hope you like the idea as much as I do. By toogie 4 LIKES | 524 VIEWS Jolly Holiday I got to tell you I love retirement. I get to play in my sewing room all day. Loved this jelly roll I added a red strip to the sets to give it balance. Another hug for a loved one. I have a big family so I will be busy for a while. By Debnewcomb 9 LIKES | 423 VIEWS More Later Alligator I received a request for a custom quilt for a baby boy. I absolutely love this darling fabric by Sandy Gervais "Later Alligator" and have used it on two previous quilts. The background fabric is "Hooray" by Patrick Lose. I Used my favorite quilt pattern Mode "Love" with added fabric on top and bottom to make a crib size quilt. The prairie points are fun and easy to make and add so much whimsy. The bright colors intrigue little boys minds. I made two burp cloths with some yellow flannel and a diaper changing pad with triple batting with left over charms. I backed it with blue minky per the request. They absolutely loved the quilt!
