Tribal Primitive Modern

This was from a Benartex kit, one of those with 300 pre-cut pieces that can be assembled in many different ways. Sort of a modern set using primitive-looking prints. This one I put on ebay just to see what it would bring; it barely paid for the materials but it was fun to make.

Aurelie's Quilt

Based on the same pattern as Elaine's quilt, I made this one because I loved the 20s feel of the centre square fabric. The first border is also very 20s art deco and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I gave this to Aurelie for Christmas and she took it home to France with her to show it off - very proud of myself.

This was the 3rd quilt I made. I got the pattern online and liked the idea of the large centre piece. I had a lot of pinkish fabrics, so I threw in some green and went to town. I tried some FMQ in the centre square - not exactly a success - and used the backing to make the border.

Mandy's Quilt

Used the same pattern as Grandma Jan's quilt and used these lovely autumnal colours. I used a different wadding, purchased by the meter and unfortunately there was more shrinkage than any of my other quilts. I wasn't pleased but thankfully Mandy loves her quilt.
