Baby Quilts

More in the acquired stash, this packet had two panels and a bunch of coordinating fabrics. I decided to do a log cabin type pattern. Not thinking how big these would get. And one was weird sized so it threw everything off. Sewed them all and assembled only to realize it was now almost a twin bed sized quilt in a baby motif! Not going to happen! So I took the weird sized one and its row partner off. Took them apart and stacked them. Put borders on and called it as I was DONE! Was able to use a lot of the extra fabrics as backing. Stitched in the ditch and outlined the critters. One is bound with grey the other I used the leftover strips cut for the log cabins.

Baby Gift

I made this small quilt at the request of my friend so she could give it as a gift to her friend's daughter who is having a baby girl in Jan.My girlfriend picked the pattern from several books I gave her for inspiration. I picked the fabrics that she gave approval to. I'm happy with the results as is she. The quilt pattern is Charming Squares and Diamonds. It is pieced and appliqued. I used 2 fabrics from Moda's Tulsa Tulip collection and the bright pink is a Moda Grunge.

Puppy Dog Quilt for Max

I made this quilt for my grandson, Max, who was born 7-7-21. The quilt pattern is from Elizabeth Hartman quilt collection. I used all fabric by the yard to make the puppies. The quilt pattern is puppy dog paws. It was quite a sewing adventure for me, but I loved how it turned out.
