    I want to use a stencil on a batik log cabin. I found this marking method on a post. It's called Pounce. Basically, sponge on chalk dust by rubbing the sponge over the stencil. I made this quilt to practice this technique. I'm still not doing well with the echos. I'll keep at it, quilt on. . .

    This quilt was made using Kona "citrus" solids jelly roll. Center squares were "garden treasures" purchased through Missouri Star Quilt Company "daily deal" for $1.78. White paths were made from honey buns. The pattern used was Jungle Paths free from Kona. I added an extra row to the bottom, thinking I was going to use it as a tablecloth, but it came out so pretty that I decided not to use it.

    I made this quilt from Rachel Ashwell fabrics for my Mom's 86th Birthday. My Mom loves quilts but doesn't sew a stitch. It was the first full-size quilt I ever attempted and I was pretty scared working with all that expensive fabric. It turned out perfectly, my Mom loved it and I went on to make three more large quilts. I use a Husqvarna Lily 550 to quilt.
