    Based on the same pattern as Elaine's quilt, I made this one because I loved the 20s feel of the centre square fabric. The first border is also very 20s art deco and I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I gave this to Aurelie for Christmas and she took it home to France with her to show it off - very proud of myself.

    This was the 3rd quilt I made. I got the pattern online and liked the idea of the large centre piece. I had a lot of pinkish fabrics, so I threw in some green and went to town. I tried some FMQ in the centre square - not exactly a success - and used the backing to make the border.

    I loved the Dresden Turkey tutorial Jenny did but wanted place mats for my grandchildren so adapted the size of the turkey & legs to fit. Had leftover charms from various packs that I used for the blades/turkey feathers. The background fabric was in my stash and bought the backing/binding fabric. Machine quilted myself, first a blanket stitch around the blades and turkey, then echo quilting around everything out to the edges. So delighted with the end result.
