started this for my grandson when he started school. Had some health issues and lost my mojo! Started getting it back last fall by attending The Garden of Quilts in UT! Had started with school ground panel but now grand is very interested on construction equipment. Short of tossing and starting again, i just added all kinds of things. I used a layer cake of construction and some jelly roll strips plus the panel. Appliquéd his name on top and used my quilt software to do some big equipment and construction signs along bottom border. I totally forgot to add batting but thought it might be ok because now it is lighter and easier to drag around and wrap with. It’s not as nice. I hope i dont make that mistake again!

Whimsical Woods Christmas Tree III

I really enjoyed making these quilts. The stars took the longest but once those were done, it went quickly. This is a Corey Yoder Pattern. Her original layout is for 5 x 6 blocks or 60 x 72 but I abbreviated this to 5 x 5 blocks resulting in 60 x 60 finished quilt.

Christmas Tree Quilt---A Corey Yoder Pattern

This is a fun pattern. The little stars are a finished block of 2.5 inches square (very tiny pieces). After my first bunch and tryiing not to lose points in the seams, I worked very hard toward accuracy. They did become addicting and I ended up making three of these quilts. This one finished at 60 x 60 with a 5 block x 5 block layout. The original pattern finished at 60 x72. If you've got Christmas fabric stash -- this is a really pretty one to make up. I used white paper grunge as the background.

“Strong” The quilt for Mother

I made a quick lap quilt for my mother after her hip replacement surgery in 2021. I named it “Strong”. It took a long time to talk my mother into having surgery. Finally at age 87 she agreed and was willing to be strong. The quilt label has a small message embroidered on it.

Keyhole Quilt
