I made this because I love beautiful yellows, but they are hard to find. When I finished the lap sized quilt, I shared a picture with my sister who reminded me that HER bedroom was yellow. So I made another set of blocks to increase this to a queen sized quilt. It will be her Christmas gift this year.

Olive Nort Star

So I just love that North star pattern and decided to make a smaller version to see if I could ACTUALLY do it. I make quilts for christmas for teams at my office. New girl says she Looooooves olive. So I search and search for Olive and find it. I have 3 weeks to do it in and I think YOU can do it! Guys I love the pattern but I suck at making this thing. Lots of tears and whining. I just can't do it. I almost went to just go BUY her one but couldn't find OLIVE! Got it done and my quilt frame grabbed it and stretch the edges on one side- all the other waves are from near impossible pattern following me - but hey, at least one side was NOT. I get credit for that one side that was perfect I swear. She loved it so I guess that is all that matters! Got-er-done the day before Christmas and she is pretty but Lord did I get close to God with those prayers I can tell ya.

Triple butterfly quilt for my daughter

I finished this butterfly quilt for my daughter for her college graduation (May 2018). I started this quilt for her about nine years ago while quilting with a friend. My friend moved away. Twenty blocks sat in a box, then I found it in April and decided to finish it. This quilt has 100 blocks. It has fussy cut 5 inch butterfly squares, butterfly backing fabric, and is quilted with a butterfly design. Luckily, my daughter still loves butterflies and the many colors in this quilt. I alternated with 5 inch four patches, and used 1.5 inch strips to surround the 5 inch blocks. My biggest quilt to date - 96 x 96 inches. Long arm quilted by Patti Hutchins.

Brooklyn's scrappy camp quilt

Brooklyn will be counseling at camp most of the summer and wanted a quilt to take to camp. This scrappy quilt used 10" foundation papers. To give it some feel of organization, I used a black strip in the center of each square and as the binding. Lots of fun to make!
