After watching the tutorial by Connie Campbell I made this table runner for my sister Lesley. I think it turned out just beautiful and my sister loves it. I simply stitched in the ditch to quilt it. It took just under 8 hours from first cut of the fabric to the final stitch in the binding:)

Applique table topper

This was an experiment using scraps for the applique. I used part of an applique pattern from Kim Diehl's "Simple Comforts" book. Then added a border. It was fun to make and it is always nice when a vision becomes a reality.

Cherries to come

My first EPP-hexies, had quite some inner resistance to overcome how I would apply the hexies panel. So this is the first mitered corner in the background fabric. To be used as a small table topper, far away from likelihood of staining coffee or other liquids.:o) No batting, no quilting, just appliquéd to the background (mitered rectangle).

Table topper another older quilt

These are quilts that I have made over the years for various family members as well as for ourselves. All in a process of learning my way in the quilting world ! I have been quilting many things for many years and don't know how much longer I will be able to continue due to my advancing arthritis so I do as much as I can to leave a legacy for my children and children's children. I have enjoyed every minute I've spent doing these quilts.....This one has a twist of acrylic painted apples to highlight the theme of my kitchen.

Coffee Table Topper

I needed to use up some scraps so I made this table topper cover. Its quick and easy. I hand sewed 1 1/2 inch squares of scraps together in nine patches. I carried the stash around with me and when I sat down (while watching my 19 month old grandson, it wasn't too many times of sitting...haha) I was able to complete the nine patches. Then assembled. I still have tons more scraps, but I will use them eventually!
