Blueberry Pie Double Irish Chain

74 x 83 double Irish chain. Pieced by me, professionally quilted. I didn’t keep info about whose products I used but I will from here on out. I am calling it Blueberry Pie because it reminds me of pie lattice and it’s blue.

A Castle For Becca

My husband’s daughter loves Disneyland. Becca and her husband Tony have bought passes for the last few years and take every opportunity to fly out, even if it’s only for the weekend.. I thought it would be fun to make a quilt for them. I found this Mickey and Minnie material. My husband had the idea to put the Castle in the middle. This was my first attempt at appliqué.

Blue quilt for neighbor's son

Update: I quilted with Urban Elementz Nemesh's Feather Grande design. I sewed the binding on and took to neighbor's house just in time to be loaded on the moving truck. ---- This is the fabric I picked out for my neighbor's son to piece a quilt while he was home from school because of virus (if he wanted to make one). His two sister's pieced their quilts and I quilted them (posted earlier). He didn't piece it. The family is moving away for a couple years for work, at the end of the month. I decided to make him this quilt. I used the charm on point pattern for the middle (8 x 16 squares), I placed the same fabric on the diagonal cut line, so the outer triangles would be the same fabric (same as border fabric). I added LeMoyne Stars (Lemon stars) to the top and bottom to make it a rectangular quilt. I had some charms left from the 4 charm packs that I had of Wilmington Essentials Sapphire Sky (Beautiful fabric), so I made four patches for the sides. 75" x 87"

Ohio Star Table Runner

After watching the tutorial by Connie Campbell I made this table runner for my sister Lesley. I think it turned out just beautiful and my sister loves it. I simply stitched in the ditch to quilt it. It took just under 8 hours from first cut of the fabric to the final stitch in the binding:)

Recovering from surgery last November I was inspired but a wall hanging from Jordon Fabrics I wanted it to be bright cheerful and full of colours A happy quilt for brighter days. I really loved making it and learned a lot. Rachel was Longarm quilted by a lovely lady in Wales, a long way from Kent where I live but Debbie did an amazing job and I am thrilled with the result. I finished the 400 inches!! of hand binding yesterday I hope you like it

Double Wedding Ring

This quilt top has been in my Grandmother’s cedar chest forever! Then it was in my Mom’s stash - forever. I have toyed with the idea of making this pattern but never got around to it. Then Mom showed it to me. I was astounded to see not only was the quilt totally marked for the quilting lines, but the intended binding was all there! I’m guessing that my quilting abilities had progressed enough that Mom was comfortable with allowing me to take it. With a little planning I was able to adapt the intended hand quilting to a continuous machine stitch. Put the binding on and give it back to my Mom to whip the binding down. My Mom was very pleased with the results and has decided to leave it as is with all the pencil markings. She believes it was made by her Grandmother or an Great Aunt.

A Soldier's Journey

This quilt was made to honor my nephew when he retired from his many years of service. His countless trips overseas, including the Middle East. I transferred to fabric a picture of each of his assignments. I used his now retired uniforms to make the blocks. His patches and buttons to embellish the quilt. It took over a year to finish. It tells his story. I am so proud of him. I presented this to him at his retirement party.
